WHAT'S ALL THIS THEN?? (Read Me File)
this blog was setup as a response to the "right to repair" movement
wheelchair users have been "locked out" of setting up their equipment properly, and/or customizing it to their needs for long enough!
there is still a barrier to entry - an R-Net USB Programming dongle is required to make any of these changes - BUT if you have access to a dongle, and a computer - you can FINALLY make some adjustments!
more programming articles will be posted as time goes on
as well as suggested 'profile settings' for various chairs, models, and types of daily use your chair is used for. (example: high torque/low speed for ramps - and power soccer modes etc)
a project is also in the works to develop, and loan out (or sell) low cost R-Net USB interface dongles - for those who dont have a spare $500 lying around to buy an 'officially supported' dongle.
developing these units takes time, and money - so its unfortunately not going to happen overnight.. BUT its being worked on for sure!
stay safe out there!
